Abstract

  The Child Marriage Restraint Act, 1929 is an Act to restrain the solemnisation of child marriage and the provisions under the act are elucidated in this document. It extends to the whole of India (except the State of Jammu and Kashmir) and it applies also to all citizen of India without and beyond India. It came into force on 1st day of April, 1930 (Extract).
